PRICES AND RESERVATIONS
- How can I make a reservation?You just have to send us an email indicating the days you want to dive and an approximate of what you would like to do. We check availability on those days and respond shortly. To confirm those days of diving we ask for an advance between 40 and 100 USD per person depending on the activities you can do by PayPal, transfer or card
- Can I change dive packages for different combinations?Yes, of course you can. You can change cenotes for others of the same price or different adding the difference. And if you prefer another combination (minimum 3 days of diving) write to us and we will send you a tailor-made package for you.
- Payment methods?The published prices are for payment in cash, in euros, USD or Mexican pesos. You can pay by credit card in which case an additional 4% is charged.
- Cancellation policy?We accept cancellations 48 hours in advance of the start of the activity. Cancellations received 24-48 hours have a penalty of 50% of the cost of the activity and cancellations received with less than 24 hours a penalty of 100%
DIVING ACTIVITY
- What's the water temperature?The cenotes are kept at 24-25 ° C all year round, a 3mm suit is usually enough, a 5mm if you are cold or you are going to dive several days. The sea ranges from 26-27 °C in winter to 28-29 °C in summer, a 3mm is usually suitable for most.
- Are DIN valves available?Of course yes, just let us know in advance that your regulator is DIN to have bottles with the right faucet for you.
- Is equipment rental included in prices?Only the introductory and Open Water courses include equipment rental. The price of equipment rental per day is 5 USD per piece or 20 USD full.
- is there Nitrox available?We have nitrox at your disposal with an additional cost of 5 USD per tank. The cenotes in general are shallow or very deep and you will not get much out of the Nitrox, with the exception of cenotes such as Zapote, Maravilla or 7 bocas. You must have your Nitrox titration
TRAVEL, ACCOMMODATION AND STAY
- Where can I stay?You got 3 different choices. All inclusive resorts, you may find offers at travel agencies incluiding flights and accomodation. Downtown hotels, there is a wide range of chioces depending on your budget and interest, send us your requirements and we will advice you. Apartments for rent. Travelling for a long term or big family/group? Airbnb offers plenty of choices in the area, let us advice you about best area depending on your interest.
- What currency should I bring?Official currency is mexican peso (mxn). USD are accepted someplaces but usualy at a lower exchange rate. You will finde several currency exchange office at Playa del Carmen to change euros/USD along with ATM to get money. We reccomend to do that in ATM’s inside Banks (not those on 5th ave, due to higher comission). Anyway check bank comission and exchange rate, it may change significantly depending on banks. make sure your bank card is ready to be used abroad before travelling
- How tipping works?It is commonly accepted to leave 10-15% tip in restaurants. It is not mandatory but expected. Bill is not suppose to include tip in total amount but you may find suggestions for tipping at the end of your ticket.
- Electrical supply and plug type?110 V, Type A and Type B plug (those with flat connectors). Plug adaptors are usually found at hardware stores.
- Internet connection and phone companies?Get a package from your phone company or disable data to avoid extra charges for using data abroad!. Wifi connections are usually found at many restaurants and hotels. You can buy a sim card from a local company and get a package of data for a convenient price, like Telcel or Movistar phone companies.
- Airport transfer?Some travel packages include this service. In case you need a transfer to/from airport you got several choices. Taxi/Cab (Cancun airport only official companies are allowed to provide this service), ADO bus company, for a suitable price offers rides almost every 30 minutes. (www.ado.com.mx).
